Description
SRI ESD voltmeters, though specific models are difficult to find information on, are likely high-impedance, high-voltage measuring instruments used to verify and calibrate ESD simulator guns. These ESD guns are used to test electronic components for their susceptibility to electrostatic discharge, which can damage delicate circuitry. By measuring the voltage coming from the tip of the ESD gun, the SRI ESD voltmeter ensures the gun is functioning within the expected parameters and producing the correct electrostatic charge for testing purposes.
