Description
The National Instruments USB-6353 X Series (DAQ) is a close cousin to the USB-6351, sharing many similarities but with some key advantages for applications requiring a higher number of analog input channels. Here’s a breakdown of its features and how it compares to the USB-6351:
Similarities:
- High-Speed Analog Input: Both boast a maximum sampling rate of 1.25 MS/s per channel, making them suitable for capturing fast-changing analog signals.
- Multi-Channel Sampling Trade-Off: Similar to the USB-6351, the USB-6353 has a slightly lower aggregate sampling rate of 1 MS/s when measuring on multiple channels simultaneously.
- Analog Input Resolution and Range: They share the same 16-bit resolution for accurate signal representation and a +/- 10 V input range.
- Analog Output Capabilities: Both offer 4 analog output channels with a high 2.86 MS/s sampling rate, 16-bit resolution, and a +/- 10 V output range for high-frequency control signal generation.
- Multifunction Functionality: They are both multifunction devices, capable of handling both analog and digital signals.
Key Differences:
- Increased Analog Input Channels: The most significant difference is the number of analog input channels. The USB-6353 offers double the channels (32) compared to the USB-6351 (16). This allows you to simultaneously acquire data from a larger number of sensors or data points.
- Digital I/O Lines: The USB-6353 provides double the digital I/O lines (48) compared to the USB-6351 (24). This offers more flexibility for digital integration and control. However, the hardware timing capabilities remain at 32 lines with a maximum rate of 1 MHz.
