The National Instruments USB-6002 steps up the capabilities of the USB-6001, making it a more powerful option for general-purpose data acquisition tasks. Here’s how it builds upon its predecessor:
- Improved Resolution and Speed: The USB-6002 boasts 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) compared to the 14-bit resolution of the USB-6001. This translates to better signal detail in your captured data. Additionally, it offers a significant increase in the maximum sampling rate for analog inputs, reaching 50 kS/s (kiloSamples per second). This allows you to capture faster-changing analog signals compared to the USB-6001’s 20 kS/s limit.
- Maintains Analog Output and Digital I/O: Just like the USB-6001, it provides 2 analog output channels for generating control signals and 13 digital I/O lines for interfacing with logic-level devices.
- User-Friendly Design: Similar to the USB-6001, it connects via USB for easy setup and power, and includes NI-DAQmx driver software for configuration, data acquisition, and basic analysis, making it accessible for various users.
