Description
The Extech EX470 is a True RMS Digital Multimeter (DMM) that combines advanced electrical measurement capabilities with a built-in infrared (IR) thermometer. This versatile tool is designed to meet the needs of electricians, technicians, and engineers who require accurate and reliable measurements in a variety of applications. The True RMS feature ensures precise readings of AC voltage and current, even in environments with distorted waveforms. The EX470 can measure AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, and temperature using a Type K thermocouple. The built-in IR thermometer allows for quick, non-contact surface temperature measurements, making it ideal for identifying overheating components and other temperature-related issues. The multimeter features a large, easy-to-read backlit LCD display, autoranging capability, data hold, and min/max recording functions. Its rugged design includes a protective rubber holster to withstand the demands of tough job sites.
