Description
The Exfo FTB-7300E PON FTTx/MDU OTDR Module, although discontinued, was a valuable tool for testing and troubleshooting fiber optic Passive Optical Networks (PON) used in Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTx) and Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) applications. This portable module excelled at characterizing high-port-count splitters, a common component in PON architectures. It offered a dynamic range of up to 39 dB, allowing for effective detection of faults even through these splitters. Additionally, the FTB-7300E supported short acquisition times, speeding up deployment processes. Exfo’s iOLM compatibility further enhanced its functionality by providing automated analysis and clear pass/fail results, simplifying testing for technicians of all skill levels.
