Description
The 24×36 inch surface plate is a precision-ground, high-quality plate designed for various industrial and scientific applications. Constructed from durable materials, such as granite or steel, this plate provides a stable and flat surface, ensuring accuracy and reliability in measurement and inspection tasks. The 24×36 inch dimension offers a spacious working area, accommodating larger components and assemblies, while the plate’s thickness, typically ranging from 2 to 4 inches, ensures stability and minimizes vibration. The surface finish, often precision-ground to a high degree of flatness (e.g., ±0.0002 inches), enables accurate measurements and inspections, making this plate ideal for applications such as quality control, engineering, and laboratory settings. Additionally, the plate’s surface may feature a grid pattern or other markings to facilitate measurement and alignment tasks.
