Description
The Simpson 444-2 Micro-Ohmmeter is a precise instrument designed to measure very low resistances, ranging from mere micro-ohms (µΩ) up to 20 ohms. It boasts a high resolution display with 20,000 counts, allowing for detailed analysis of low resistance values. This meter is particularly useful for applications where preventing damage from high test currents is crucial. By employing a low test voltage of only 100 microvolts, the 444-2 eliminates the risk of “punch-through” in delicate components and avoids heating effects that can alter readings. Furthermore, it offers two measurement methods – AC pulse and DC polarity switching – to tackle various challenges, making it a versatile tool for technicians working on conductive coatings, high power fuses, and antenna grounding systems.
