Description
The ACO 511E (also known as the CR:511E by Cirrus Research) is a sound level calibrator used to ensure the accuracy of microphones in sound measurement applications. It generates a stable sound pressure level at a specific frequency (typically 1 kHz) to which the microphone is exposed. By comparing the microphone’s output to the known output of the calibrator, any deviations can be identified and corrected. The 511E offers two sound pressure level options (94 dB and 104 dB) and can accommodate microphones of various sizes with the use of adapter accessories.
